For my 4th mission, I set out to conquer a variety of the sewing projects I had sitting around. You will be pleased to know that I made 4 grocery bags, started 2 laundry bags (which now only need casings and drawstrings), started a skirt (which I will not befinishing as it will not fit), and started a booty bag (which only needs handles)…and I actually enjoyed doing it all! I think I like sewing…(shhhh, don’t tell). Hopefully, that will lead me to further complete projects. Hopefully. I’ll try to take pictures soon. Gotta charge the batteries in the camera -

This week is a race to finish as many things as possible. Each day has a different item or two that needs to be completed. We know that you can complete them all.
Tuesday: Make stop sign and spend 5 minutes working on counters
Wednesday: Dirty clothes hunt with the kiddos and 5 minutes on laundry room floor
Thursday: Write/Mail as many Christmas Thank Yous as you can possibly complete. Push yourself.
Friday: Two 5 minute sessions on counters and sweep that floor!

Success or Failure?
January 31, 2009Well, I didn’t get my mission done, but I did get another large project done that was more time sensitive. So, does that count?
Agent Z – TOP SECRET MISSION #3
January 20, 2009Greetings Agent Z.
This week your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to streamline your wardrobe. No longer should you be daily frustrated by clothes that you (a) don’t like, (b) don’t fit, (c) don’t feel good wearing, or (c) are stained beyond repair. No longer shall they take up space in your closet or dresser! Evict them like the intruders they are. If they merit keeping (being items that you would buy & love all over again when you fit them) – you have permission to box them up as you see best.
You have until this Friday at noon to complete this task. Good luck, Z.

You’re progress has been inspiring. In the matter of a month you have almost completely infiltrated the enemy presence in your kitchen. Now, the final phase of discovery is necessary for your mission to truly be complete. Independent sources have confirmed that the last vestiges of the enemy known as “Clutter” lurk to the south. Hunt them out. Destroy their presence. Further reports have informed headquarters that the enemy is also seeking to regain territory already returned to friendly hands. Do not let this happen. It is understood that a constant presence will be needed in your kitchen to ensure peace and tranquility, but we would encourage you to stop a large movement before “Clutter” proceeds to retake all that you have already conquered. This effort is extremely time sensitive, and we regret to inform you that you have only until Thursday at 9:00 pm. At that time you are also required to create some sort of celebratory activity to rejoice in the discovery of a beautiful, functional, and peaceful kitchen and dining area. Good luck Agent A. We know the hour is short, but have complete faith in your capabilities and know you will not let us down.

Agent Z – Mission #2 Accomplished
January 16, 2009Yes. It is done. My floor and dresser and end table. Although what does one do with an empty dresser top that completely reachable by a child? It’s completely bare and needs to not be, for I fear that in its current condition it will attract junk. Not good, not good. Yet, my daughter can reach everything on it from the bed, so it has to withstand her. Any ideas? It feels so bare in here with the dresser, well, bare.
Too much of a good thing…
January 12, 2009So during the baby’s nap I continued my quest to conquer those beastly cupboards… In protest of prolonged gutting/cleaning, the three year old kindly decorated the front of the cupboard below with a ball point pen. (Shucks, it didn’t show up in the picture!) I’m taking the hint and I’m taking a break for the rest of the day. It might be time for an outing, as they’re literally bouncing off the walls now. (At least they’re bouncing nicely!)

Phase one is complete. We are very excited about the work thus far. Phase two now requires your attention. Your mission is to blitz through your house as fast as you can once a day for the next 3 days an grab any visable and obvious craft supplies for your now “empty” cupboard. You are to enjoy this new cupboard. Do not worry about gathering all items at this time, only those that are obvious to be seen and that need a home. Do not spend more than 10 min on any given day on this project. After the 3 days, your mission will be accomplished and you will earn some much needed rest.

Mission #2, completed?
January 12, 2009Doesn’t seem possible to accomplish my week’s mission in one morning with three kids “helping.” Nevertheless, here’s the evidence.

Okay, confession. I tackled the shelf last Saturday – This morning all we did were the cupboards below.
